Imagine Theatre make pantos

Imagine Theatre is a pantomime and theatre production company and one the country’s biggest panto hirers, with 32 complete sets and 6,000 costumes.

This Christmas Imagine will be producing eleven pantomimes right across England, Scotland and Wales.

Imagine Theatre are proud to retain traditional features of the panto such as the panto dame, undoubtedly one of the most popular characters in any show and also, casting a female lead as the principal boy.

Steve Boden - Director
Steve is delighted to be returning to direct his third pantomime at the Hexagon and is thrilled to be working alongside such a fabulous cast.
No stranger to pantomime, during the 2012 pantomime season, Steve will open the 90th professional production he has worked directly on as producer or director (or both roles in some cases) and will also be directing Loughborough Town Hall’s production of Dick Whittington this season.

By day Steve runs Imagine Theatre. By night he can be found at Warwick Hospital where he is a DJ at Radio Warneford, the hospitals own radio station.

Adrian Edmeades – Choreographer
This is Adrian’s third year choreographing the Hexagon panto and he is really looking forward to the Christmas season in Reading.
Adrian has worked extensively for Children’s television, including the hit CBeebies shows Gigglebiz and Zingzillas as well as ITV’s Jim Jam and Sunny.

Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton – Script Writers
Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton are BAFTA Award winning writers having worked on some of the most popular children’s television programmes of all time.

Their writing partnership has spanned 18 years and has created shows such as Playdays, the Tweenies, Boo and Wibbly Pig for the BBC, Jim Jam and Sunny for ITV, and Fun Song Factor,y which was one of the most popular series of song videos for pre-schoolers every made.
Will and Iain’s pantos are performed in various parts of the country each year. For the 2012 season, their scripts will be used by Imagine Theatre in Kilmarnock, Tewkesbury, Loughborough, Crewe, Porthcawl, Inverness, Reading, Halifax, Gravesend and Leamington Spa.

This year’s pantomime at the Hexagon, Reading, is the greatest fairy tale of them all – Beauty and the Beast.
