The Last Refuge Theatre

Female Arts recently discovered The Last Refuge an exciting progressive venue in Peckham Rye, London.

The Last Refuge is an entirely female led organisation run by Artistic Director Rania Jumaily and Creative Director / Executive Producer Laura Crampsie with Keziah Warner - Literary and Programming. Laura is also a writer and script editor. The Last Refuge’s first in house show Blues in the Night had 3 female leads and was directed by Rania.

The Last Refuge spring season 2013 is written by, directed by women or produced by female collectives and often with strong female leads and contemporary female issues.

Rania Jumaily; Artistic Director
Rania graduated from Bristol University with a BA Hons in Drama, and completed a Masters in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College. Upcoming projects include Blues in the Night for The Last Refuge in Jan 2013.

Laura Crampsie; Creative Director / Executive Producer
Laura graduated from Manchester University with BA (hons) in English Literature and subsequently trained at the New York Film Academy.

Keziah Warner; Literary and Programming assistant
Keziah graduated from Goldsmiths College with a BA Hons in English and Drama. She is Literary Manager for Descent who present nights of new writing in various venues around London.
