Launching on Friday 30th June, with “Breakfast with an Artist” all are welcome to hear the story behind the work of Rebecca Swainston, interviewed by Editor of Female Arts, Wendy Thomson.
Shock & Awe by Barbara Walker is comprised of drawings of black soldiers from 1900 until the present day. Walker has created an excellent and passionate response to the overlooked contribution of black soldiers. Midlands Art Centre (MAC) until 3rd July 2016

Unity Spencer was on stage with art historian Carolyn Leder, to discuss her book “Lucky to be an Artist” in an event hosted by Mike Read. This event was an interesting look at the life of a famous artistic family.

Abigail Tarttelin is a Hackney-based author. Her third novel Dead Girls will be published by Mantle on 3 May. It follows the award-winning Golden Boy, which told the story of an intersex teenager called Max. Comedian, author and broadcaster Rosie Wilby spoke to her.
