Meet the writers behind Female Arts 'Rebellious Acts' production this Saturday 14th May at South Street Arts Centre. Introducing Amie Taylor, the writer of 'The Secret Life of Jennie Harte'.

THE SECRET LIFE OF JENNIE HARTE: Jennie Harte is a superhero. Her life is a constant battle of preventing train crashes, rescuing sinking ships and being home in time for dinner with her girlfriend Faye. An unconventional love story set in 2016, spanning several continents.

AMIE TAYLOR is a writer, theatre maker, actor and a feminist, She writes blogs, articles, plays, short stories and too many Facebook statuses. She is especially keen to explore and write about gender and LGBT stereotypes, sexuality and gender inequality, but can also be found writing about more light-hearted stuff at Amie is the Director of the LGBTQ Arts Review and Interviews Editor for Female Arts Magazine, Amie co-produces the Out in South London radio programme and works as a Diversity Role Model in schools.

Rebellious Acts is Female Arts' 5th birthday show featuring dramatic new writing from the Female Arts team and our friends including ST GEORGE’S DAY by Hannah Roe, THE SECRET LIFE OF JENNIE HARTE by Amie Taylor, PRIVATE by Liz Carroll, I SMILE POLITELY by Ness Lyons and Alarum Theatre presents ISOBEL’S WAR by Kate Saffin, a drama about a young woman defying family expectations to manage 50 ton boats and cargo in World War II.
