Top 5 feminist theatre productions you can see at Latitude

Black Honey Company’s Hot Brown Honey comes to Latitude following sell-out runs in Australia and Edinburgh Fringe. A potent, political piece which is part-theatre and part-social activism Hot Brown Honey uses hip-hop, comedy and burlesque to challenge presumptions about the bodies of women of colour and draws from everyone from Maya Angelou (one of her first jobs was as a burlesque dancer) to Beyoncé.

- Sh!t Theatre return to Latitude with DollyWould, a riotous and challenging work on the iconic image of Dolly Parton and all she embodies.

- New one-woman show Hear Me Raw by Daniella Isaacs will be in the Cabaret Theatre. The show is a candid account of a twenty-something’s journey through the wellness world.

- Gagglebabble, The Other Room and Theatr Clwyd will join forces in The Cabaret Theatre with an invitation to Sinners’ Club. Based on the life of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in the UK, the live recording of this concept album promises songs inspired by Ruth's short life washed down with a cocktail of stories about souls lost to sin.

- Vanessa Kisuule will come to Latitude with Sexy which presents a conflicted women who loves poetry and smashing the patriarchy with a well-timed slut-drop.

Latitude Festival will return to Henham Park, Suffolk 13th - 16th July 2017.
