Ohio State senior outside hitter Emily Londot has been named Offensive Player of the Week by the Big Ten Conference. Londot had an outstanding week, posting impressive stats including 5.18 kills/set, 1.73 digs/set, and 0.73 blocks/set. In addition, she helped lead the No. 14 Buckeyes to a perfect 3-0 weekend at the NKU Invitational. Her standout performance came in a win over Bowling Green, where she recorded her first double-double of the season with 26 kills and 10 digs.
Kylie Murr from Minnesota has been named Defensive Player of the Week by the Big Ten Conference. Murr averaged 5.71 digs/set and earned recognition at the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge All-Tournament Team. In a sweep against No. 15 Baylor, Murr contributed 13 digs, eight assists, and two aces. She also played a crucial role in a four-set win over TCU, tallying 27 digs, seven assists, and an ace.
Freshman setter Mia Tuman from Ohio State has been named Setter of the Week by the Big Ten Conference. Tuman averaged 11.6 assists/set and 2.4 digs/set, earning All-Tournament Team honors at the NKU Invitational. She achieved her first double-double with 55 assists and 14 digs in a win over Bowling Green. Overall, Tuman totaled 116 assists in the Buckeyes’ three season-opening victories.
Harper Murray from Nebraska has been named Freshman of the Week by the Big Ten Conference. Murray was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Ameritas Players Challenge. She recorded 3.67 kills/set on .343 hitting and 2.33 digs/set during the weekend.
