Father Cleared in Investigation of Missing Wisconsin Boy
The father of 13-year-old James Yoblonski, who has been missing for over a month, has been cleared of suspicion after passing a lie-detector test administered by the FBI. William Yoblonski, who reported his son missing on June 12, stated that James had fled their home in the family van, possibly with a handgun.
Cellphone records revealed that James took his father’s phone with him, and it pinged on the western edge of Devil’s Lake State Park on the same day he went missing. Authorities later discovered a makeshift campsite inside the park, believed to have been used by James.
The family van was found unattended in Sumpter, Wisconsin, about a 30-minute drive southeast of Reedsburg. Cellphone search records also revealed that James had researched how to travel out of state, raising concerns about his potential whereabouts.
The FBI has recently joined the search for the missing teenager, providing additional resources and expertise. William Yoblonski, desperate for any information about his son, has offered a $100,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to James’ whereabouts.
Despite previous efforts, a search with police K9s at Devil’s Lake State Park did not yield any significant findings. Authorities are now urging anyone with information on James’ location to contact the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
The case of the missing 13-year-old boy has captured the attention of the community, with many showing support and spreading the word on social media. As days turn into weeks, the Yoblonski family remains hopeful and determined to bring their son back home safely.
