Xiaomi Launches New Smartphones Featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform
Qualcomm recently unveiled its latest mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and leading smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, wasted no time in capitalizing on this technology. Xiaomi has released its new Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro smartphones, the company’s first devices to incorporate Qualcomm’s advanced mobile platform.
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 14 series is its powerful camera system, designed to cater to photography enthusiasts. Equipped with a faster Leica Summilux lens, the smartphones offer excellent photographic capabilities. The Xiaomi 14 series has replaced its previous models’ large Type 1-inch sensor with a smaller but still impressive 50-megapixel Type 1/1.31-inch sensor. The cameras also boast a custom 23mm equivalent lens with a variable f/1.42-4 aperture and optical image stabilization, ensuring crisp and stable images.
The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro smartphones further enhance the photography experience with telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, providing versatility and enabling users to capture stunning shots in various scenarios. Additionally, the devices offer a larger 2K-resolution 6.73-inch screen for the Xiaomi 14 Pro and a 6.36-inch C8 AMOLED panel for the Xiaomi 14.

The Xiaomi 14 series smartphones are currently available for pre-order in China, with prices starting at 3,999 yuan (approximately $550) for the Xiaomi 14 and 5,999 yuan (around $820) for the Xiaomi 14 Pro. It is highly anticipated that Xiaomi will announce the availability of these smartphones in international markets in the near future.
